Research

The Ploetz group investigates transport phenomena in systems at the interface of biological and porous materials by correlating linear and non-linear optical microscopy with state-of-the art spectroscopy.

Our current projects focus on 

(1) the development of novel micro-spectroscopy methods for studying dynamic processes.

(2) transport processes and storage of small molecules in porous materials.

(3) uptake studies of metal-organic framework nanoparticles in living cells.
